The stereo speaker functionality of Horizon’s 100 clock radio is superb. We compared the sound to that of similarly priced standalone speakers and found it to be largely comparable. Horizon is a fantastic midrange speaker that uses 2 x 5W of power, and its overall array may be better than you’d expect. Horizon can also get quite loud, though not to the same extent as other speakers of its kind. The high volume will distort the sound, but since it’s a clock radio, even a moderate volume setting should be sufficient to fill a standard bedroom with music. When placed next to the bed, many listeners will find that Horizon’s volume is ideal.
